Maybe LiveJournal will know about pizza

One thing I haven't been able to find around Boston is good thick-crust pizza. I'm not thinking of the Sicilia's style pizza-with-stuff-inside; Uno's, if it wasn't gross, would be closer to the right thing. Most of the local delivery places have a sort of medium-crust pizza, not definitively thin but not really thick, and good at sopping up intrinsic pizza grease. For the California folk, I was raised on Round Table -- one of the last honest pizzas. Any suggestions?

What do you think of Sicilia's stuffed pizzas? (Comm. Ave, near BU)

I like them, but it's still very different from the sort of thing I'm thinking of. Sicilia's is more like a pie with a pizza-crust shell; I'd be looking for a thick, doughy crust but otherwise a "normal" pizza.

We do that, but it's not really worth the trouble when you have more than one pizza worth of guests over.

Try the sicilian-style pizza at Armando's, near the corner of Concord Ave and Huron Ave in Cambridge. Good stuff.
