Went out yesterday to use my newly acquired MBTA photography permit. I took a few pictures around South Station, got a shot of the Silver Lie platform under construction at the T stop there, and experimented with a couple of long-exposure shots of arriving trains. Then I went to Ashmont, got carded by the train driver, and watched the trolleys go by.

After this, since I was conveniently at a T stop, I went to [livejournal.com profile] jadia's party (and others who probably don't want to be embarrassed). Like other parties these days, it seemed to have the "lots of people I don't know" phenomenon. The group of us that played games went off and did that; we played Res Publica again, and while I still lost and it was still a brutal game, I wasn't the one holding the last cards someone else needed to move along.

Then I wound up doing some driving. First I concluded that there were no native games at the party, and a vague (not generally unjustified) expectation that I'd have some, so I borrowed a car to run home and get things. Then I got to drive the car to FOOOOOOD MAAAAAASTER!!!! to get more drinks. Dinner was ordered, and we sat down to play Citadels. Which is a fun, if confusing game, but it doesn't quite scale up to eight players. Oh well.

Meanwhile the party turned loud. And I was getting tired. And I think I had an abnormal-caffeination headache. And I could only take so much of people yelling "LESBIANS!" in the living room for no good reason. So I crashed, eventually got thrown out of the bed, and got a ride home.
