Pictures, party

dmazeWent out yesterday to use my newly acquired MBTA photography permit. I took a few pictures around South Station, got a shot of the Silver Lie platform under construction at the T stop there, and experimented with a couple of long-exposure shots of arriving trains. Then I went to Ashmont, got carded by the train driver, and watched the trolleys go by.

jadia's party (and others who probably don't want to be embarrassed). Like other parties these days, it seemed to have the "lots of people I don't know" phenomenon. The group of us that played games went off and did that; we played Res Publica again, and while I still lost and it was still a brutal game, I wasn't the one holding the last cards someone else needed to move along.
Then I wound up doing some driving. First I concluded that there were no native games at the party, and a vague (not generally unjustified) expectation that I'd have some, so I borrowed a car to run home and get things. Then I got to drive the car to FOOOOOOD MAAAAAASTER!!!! to get more drinks. Dinner was ordered, and we sat down to play Citadels. Which is a fun, if confusing game, but it doesn't quite scale up to eight players. Oh well.
Meanwhile the party turned loud. And I was getting tired. And I think I had an abnormal-caffeination headache. And I could only take so much of people yelling "LESBIANS!" in the living room for no good reason. So I crashed, eventually got thrown out of the bed, and got a ride home.
