String is good for distracting people, like [livejournal.com profile] gnibbles and [livejournal.com profile] cmouse. [livejournal.com profile] gnibbles hadn't even heard my two string jokes before. None of the other alums who were around last night were any good with it, though [livejournal.com profile] ilai made a reasonable attempt.
