Spent the weekend in the White Mountains with various crufty-and-otherwise ET folk. A fair chunk of the mob wanted to go downhill skiing, so I somewhat regretfully hauled myself out of bed at 7 in the morning to go out into the sub-zero air. ...no, who am I kidding: I was psyched to go, glad we got there when things opened, and had fun. :-) I got reminded that I'm not completely incompetent on skis, but that I'm also not terribly skilled. Wiped out quite a few times, including one particularly nasty spill that took me about 20 feet off the trail. But in all, I had fun, and didn't get wounded too badly.
