Somerville

The Somerville Web site actually mostly doesn't suck, you just need to know where to look. Of note, the What's New page is more of a "current events" page than a changelog (so it tells you, for example, that tomorrow is the last day to register for the preliminary election), and the Calendar lists things that you'd expect on a town calendar but not loads of irrelevant things.

If I was feeling civic-minded, I'd go to the T fare-increase hearing in Malden on Thursday and the Ward 4 Neighborhood Dialogue next Tuesday. I'm somewhat more likely to go to the Somerville Homebuyer Training Program on 30 September or 7 or 14 October, though. We'll see what I actually make it to.

even though i don't live in somerville, i like the city website because it lets you pay parking tickets online. i parked there this summer for my job in harvard square and it was really helpful, because i get a lot of tickets.
