I got to play Lunar Rails last night, a standard crayon-rail game set on the moon. It very much had the same can't-find-where-cities-are problem British Rails has for me. One odd thing about the map (aside from it having two connected circular parts) is that there are huge swaths of it that are all-mountain, so building across the far side of the moon gets pretty expensive. It was also hard to find good routes; if you're crossing from one side to the other, it's difficult to tell what an efficient route is. I'm not really sure if this falls more towards the "novelty" end of the game spectrum (it's definitely a better game than Munchkin, but seemed worse than Iron Dragon).
