Positive weekend
Oct. 14th, 2003 12:30 pmI think I'm actually happy about the way the long weekend turned out. As was previously mentioned, there was party on Saturday, and random socialness on Sunday. Yesterday was an MIT holiday, which I spent ignoring my email, playing more Morrowind, doing laundry, and then biking the Minuteman with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cfox. I went back to Hotass to discover that a food mob had utterly failed to materialize, so I hung around there for a bit, got a quick shower in, ate, and went to see Kill Bill, Vol. 1 with the mob. The movie was...very gory, but it never actually succeeded in squicking me. I found it engaging, and humorous at times. It's probably worth seeing if you're not going to flip out at the sheer volume of blood and separated limbs.
There's getting to be more and more commercials before the movies. This sucks, especially since they're not very good commercials. The trailers were uninspiring, aside from the Return of the King trailer. A new Jim Carrey film is coming out. Yay. In the end credits, we learn that the Japanese unit had three second assistant directors and three third assistant directors; the LA unit only had one second assistant director and one second second assistant director.
