FFF -- vague impressions
Jan. 12th, 2003 05:27 pmWent to the FFF, twice even, without an escort. This turned out to be okay, since I ran into a lot of people there that I knew (and were by and large tending doors). One of the workers mocked me, but that's okay, since she was entitled. I might show up as a volunteer next time around. It also might be fun to get a mob together. (But I keep saying that; the mob should be not particularly squeamish, and it'd be neat to have people dressed up for the event.)
The layout this time was better than the one last winter, I think. Space allocation was a little weird; one room felt very crowded even late today when there weren't very many people, one room had lots of open space (I think it was supposed to be an auditorium); they could have shuffled a couple of vendors from one room to the other and it would have helped. The balance of sorts of vendors was a little weird, too, but I think it always is; the item there happens to be more people selling changes from one to the next.
