I might not do the Climb to the Clouds this year. I just don't feel like doing the training I'd need to do for it. I feel a little guilty for blowing it off, but I did kind of say at the end of last year that I wanted to do something else with my weekends than just bike.

I think it's important to do what you want, rather than wasting your time on stuff you don't.

I guess this is also my year of not biking much at all, but I figured I could always do it more some other year...

Are there *particular* things you want to do with your weekends instead?

Would you be happy overall if you did one of the shorter routes, or have you set it up mentally so the only acceptable outcome is to do the full century?

I haven't done much biking this summer yet. The main observation so far is that the Newburyport/Rockport line makes me happy because there are ramps, and the Fitchburg line makes me feel like a wimp because I'm not actually good at carrying my bike up and down train stairs.
