Why am I so fascinated with the Red Sox this year? Yeah, they just trashed the Angels, and the Yankees aren't doing so hot (though they might still recover). But I'm not a baseball person at all, and especially not a Boston baseball person in particular. So what gives?

Switch to drinking water bottled from the springs of Fiji. Not only will you curse the exorbitant price, but it'll actuate you to protest the expensive bottled water industry. Then you'll be out of time, money, and energy to even be bothered with such whimsical interests such as that local sports team. The Rangers, is it?

Ah, but the water from Fiji will be spiked with caring-about-rugby for the next several weeks at least. This will leave dzm with inexplicable caring about a sport that Americans have barely heard of.
