Certainly this particular bridge group is meant to have both a social component and a desire to improve skill. I find that most games (and this goes double for partnership or team games) get frustrating pretty quickly if people don't actually want to play better.
I'll also take the opportunity for a shameless-plug-in-someone-else's-lj that if anybody else is interested in playing (or learning to play) feel free to let me know. :>
