dmazeI have speakers for my office now, yay! They were even clever with the UI: there's a subwoofer, and everything plugs into that, including a remote control with a volume control that you can plug headphones into (and mute the speakers).
Bridge game tonight. We'll see how it goes, and if the game manages to outlast me; it and the people involved tend to. I should probably start learning the more complicated bidding conventions, and firm up on the details of the basic conventions. I guess this game tends to feel a little more serious than the pick-up games at ET are.
I was asked today why it was I was installing RT, rather than doing something researchy. Part of it is that actually doing anything researchy seems to involve going through this political morass to figure out what it is I should be doing. And part of it is that, well, honestly, the worst problems I'm running into installing RT are hacking around Red Hat's perl sucking, which is easier and less painful than wanking over the GPL.
At least it's warm now.
