These days I bet it's all GPS. I suspect the Hawaiian Islands are close enough to each other that the traditional radio-beacon stuff works for inter-island flights. But I don't know how you'd fly thousands of miles with real-world winds and not get blown hopelessly off track. They've certainly been able to do it for quite a while, though...
