There is, in fact, some wobble, but it's not terrible. I mostly deal by not wobbling the table. :-) It also helps that it's up against a wall, so if I'm leaning against it I'm mostly leaning in the direction where there's some lateral support. That all having been said, cross-bracing wouldn't hurt, but a somewhat major goal in the table design is to have something that can be somewhat readily taken apart to be moved.
