Did I become a student when I wasn't looking?

Recent paper mail seems to have included a couple of solicitations to consolidate my student loans and a student subscription to Playboy. I wonder if somehow the postal spammers got a "student" bit set for me; I haven't been a real student for two years, or a special student for about nine months, and I've paid off my loans now. I probably should get my annual free credit report just to make sure there's not something screwy going on, though. Being employed by MIT can't help the situation, but I kind of had the impression that MIT had at least as many faculty and staff as students, so this can't be that uncommon.
