Working from home

I apparently had an inbound package from United Parcel Squishing, so I worked from home yesterday. This turned out to be incredibly relaxing: I booted the laptop around 9 AM, and closed my ssh sessions to work at 5. The ergonomics weren't as great as at work (but I knew that), but on the flip side, I got to spend the day sprawled out on the couch. In all I got about as much work done as I would have if I had gone in, without the overhead of commuting. I probably couldn't do it every day and still get things done and communicate with my group, but I did go to dinner with the feeling of it being a weekend day, rather than a normal work day, which was refreshing.
