Elections tomorrow
Nov. 3rd, 2003 05:44 pmI really have no idea who I want to vote for tomorrow. For that matter, beyond the Somerville mayoral election, I really have no idea what's on the ballot. I know we're electing some Aldermen-at-large, and Ward 4 is electing an alderman as well (from what I understand, incumbent vs. retired). I think that's it. Maybe I should dig through my campaign literature and see if I have any actual preferences; a vote of "no" on mayor is probably in order.
I was going to say that I knew much more about the Cambridge elections than Somerville elections, but that's not actually true. The
electdeberg folks have been popping up a lot in online places I'm at, and Aimee L Smith G (on a "civil liberties" platform, of all things) and Bob LaTremouille (the goose guy) are both running for Cambridge City Council as well, and there's a rent-control ballot question. But this doesn't mean I actually understand what's going on, or have looked at the platforms of the some-teen other candidates at all.
