Commuter rail? But she's not Abelian!

Tried the Malden thing. There wasn't a "D.I.B." sign, to my minor surprise. But the end conclusion is that Malden is just far from anything, and I wasted enough time getting out to Malden that any time I might have saved by the commuter rail being fast went down the drain. And of course the commuter rail isn't actually that fast, especially given that we stopped for a signal in Sullivan and that the train goes bloody slow after there.

I suspect the next useful thing to try is to take the orange line inbound to North Station and just pick up EZRide from there. That sounds too simple, but it might be faster than the red line (and drops me off on the doorstep of LCS, which is a plus).
