...not quite what I remember it to be. Maybe I'm just not used to it any more. Some of it is things like the weather; I can handle the ocean side of the mountains being chilly, but San Jose in June should be much warmer than it appears to be. Similarly, that things are actually green this late in the year surprises me a little. Costco, which I associate with California, is much more commercialized than I remember it ever being. BART is going into Santa Clara County, eventually. That sort of thing.

Plans for today: trek down to San Jose and visit friends from high school. Tomorrow I fly back to Boston. It looks like I don't get to see any of the MIT San Francisco folk; oh well.
