Well done! Having done the Seacoast in the rain, I'm not a big fan (risk of hypothermia, ick). Going out too hard is a problem I share, but it's hard to strike a balance; how much slower to you have to ride to push that knackered feeling out another ten miles? Was thinking about this on Saturday when I did 47 miles in about 3 hours (through Carlisle etc) but was pretty dead by the end. If only I could manage the century mileage without falling apart right now!
What was your round trip time? 7:20ish including stops? Or more like 9:20? [Haven't ever done much better than 8.5 hours I don't think, but you seem to be able to get up a pretty good head of steam these days based on your training reports.]
