dmazeMuch to my surprise, I appeared at Steer Roast last night. It was...just okay; I think it underscored my inability to have fun in that sort of social situation. Smoke and loud music just aren't my thing, and that filled a fair bit of space. Planning to show up would have helped; then I could have ditched my backpack somewhere before I got there, and possibly worn different clothes.
At any rate, I ran into a fair number of people that I hadn't seen since they were students. Cleavage was interestingly distributed; only a few people out of the whole crowd had it, but when someone had it, they had lots. A goodly amount of the crowd was dressed up in some form or another. One person had made their own corset, and it came out reasonably well.
I guess overall, I'm glad I went, and it was better than doing nothing all evening. It would have been more fun if I knew more of the current SH undergrads (well, really, any of them). Maybe what I want is a smaller quieter people-in-exciting-outfits party.
